Someone New

Hehe. I know I didn't post about this on the blog because I kind of wanted to keep it a surprise. But he finally came! IT CAMEEEEE!

My Peter Stone DAH!

I had ordered him July 23 and he had just came yesterday. And I love him so much! Exceeded the expectations I had for him. I got him in a sooty palomino, with a star, a coronet band, and a striped hoof. He is my first Peter Stone, and certainly won't be my last.

Another Model!

Yesterday I was up at my aunts house and about 30 minutes away there was a Breyer flagship store. Luckily I was able to convince my family to take me. I was in heaven. About every new 2016 Breyer model, as well as Toro, Patriot, and Argyle. I really wanted a limited edition one, but the Argyles they had were quite polka-dotty, and Toro doesn't really have a bridle path, so I would have to make him custom tack. And then I saw Cortes. I loved his mold ever since Carrick came out.

I like Cortes because he can represent a lot of breeds. His face marking is tiny, but cute. His left back hoof is pretty cool because its half black, half white. Mine really doesn't have any noticeable flaws, which is good. I can't really speak for his color, because he is just flat black, but the mold is great. Here are some pictures...

Photo Shoot Friday

I apologize in advance, he is apparently super dusty, and I always forget to dust my models
I don't think I even said that I got the American Pharoah SM for christmas. I just took him out for a photo shoot today, and I fell in love! The mold is in such an active pose, and the coloring is really good for a Stablemate

I've kind of been a lazy poster, but not too much has been going on lately. Maybe I'll do some more stuff over the summer

Customs

So, I've been fairly productive lately model horse-wise. I had done my Guster custom a few months ago, but I never truly posted about him, so I figured I should combine the posts into one.

So this first guy's name is Evermotion, modeled after Guster's latest album cover. I haven't really done an unrealistic custom, so it was really fun to try something new.

It was sort of a learning experience, because I had found out that their cover was made by using ferrofluid, a magnetized paint that makes really cool designs when used with colored paints. I want to go out and buy some just to try making these designs, but apparently they're pretty tiny, and I'm assuming this stuff is pretty expensive.

My second guy doesn't have a name just yet, but as seen before, he's probably also going to have some sort of Guster themed name. But maybe not...

He started off as a grullo, but he definitely needed more brown. So I turned him into an adorable little blue roan. He needs some touch ups, but he's perfectly fine for now

Oh hey look! My beautiful sausage fingers made a cameo!

Thanks for checking them out!

A Christmas Pony: Part Three

And here is the final model I got (in this case, bought myself) for christmas...

Harley D. Zip!

For some time I have wanted him, because I loved Latigo when he came out. And for $28 at Tractor Supply, who could say no? His position looks like he is dancing on his toes, which is sort of funny, it doesn't look the most natural, but i like it. He has itty bitty horseshoes, and he was the first model I had that had them. His coloring is really nice also, and as far as I can tell, he is LSQ
