Photo Shoot Friday

Hey! I made some new tack!

Haha, sike

I had made this Indian bosal/bitless bridle probably around christmastime, I just forgot to take pictures of it. I actually really like it, it actually functions like the real thing, and the color looks really good on my Zenyatta. And hey, now I have pictures for a photo shoot Friday!

The backdrop is crooked because the table I normally shoot on was wet, so I had to use my patio table, which is a lot more uneven than I thought. Sorry!

A New Backdrop

All my photos have pretty much been taken on a black table in the back corner of my small yard. While this is great for lighting, it doesn't make a interesting, realistic feel to the photo. So today I decided to do something about it.

While surfing around the internet (and getting sidetracked), I came across an old(er) blog post from Desktop Stables, one of my favorite model horse blogs. She is amazing at tack, and pretty much anything else miniature that she can make out of polymer clay (I also love her printable trail sings, although I never have had the chance to use them). She happened to have the backgrounds from her backdrop tutorial. I wasn't planning on using the tutorial, but she had a great wood backdrop printable from it. So I decided to use her backdrop as a base for mine, because I had different materials on hand. Mine has wood for the bottom, and I used a shoebox from some large boots my mom had bought for the back. The grey is just paper I had sliced, and the sand is some white kinetic sand I had on hand, but I want to get a more realistic sand color. Because it didn't even cross my mind, I only have pictures of it with horses on it. I have pictures with all of my traditionals except for Hickory because I thought he wouldn't fit on the tray. Here are the pictures!

You can see the tray's corners. Whoops!
